OPEN CAMPING WEEKEND AT HOLCOMB VALLEY
In order for the San Gabriel Valley Council to run a quality and cost-effective weekend at Camp Holcomb Valley, a minimum of 50 participants is required. However, if this minimum goal is not attained, the Council will unfortunately cancel the weekend and provide a refund.
Please keep in mind that Open Camp Weekends at Holcomb Valley Scout Camp will only provide your group with a campsite only.
For EXCLUSIVE USE (350 campers or less) contact the camping department to make arrangements; cost is $3500 for a BSA group or $4550 for a Non-BSA group.
All non Scout groups are required to provide the San Gabriel Valley Council with a certificate of liability insurance as part of the process in securing a reservation. Please fax this information as soon as possible to Maggie Gray at (626) 351-9149. All certificates must be received prior to your group arriving at camp. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter and complying with the Council’s policy.
Open Weekends at Holcomb Valley are fun for your Scout unit, family, church group, clubs or events. Open weekends offer you the environment to run your own program. Program areas (BB’s and Archery) can be made available to your group for an extra cost, please call the council office at 626-351-8815 ext 237 or 249 to make arrangements.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THE CAMP MAY BE CLOSED DUE TO BAD WEATHER CONDITIONS and or ROAD CLOSURES (OUR STAFF WILL NOTIFY YOUR GROUP OF ANY CLOSURES).
Holcomb Valley Hours:
Check-In: Campers may begin arriving at camp after 5 pm on Friday
Departing: Campers will need to plan on departing camp by 11 am on Sunday
$10.00 per person/per weekend camp fee for BSA unit members
$13.00 per person/per weekend camp fee for Non BSA members
NOTE: You will be required to pay a deposit of 50% of your total reservation when reservation is made; then 25% of the reservation is due 30 days before the date you will attend camp.
