INTRODUCTION TO OUTDOOR LEADER SKILLS
Saturday October 5 - Sunday Oct 6
Class time: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Location: Camp Trask
Outdoor skills are critical to the success of the Scouting program, and Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills will provide leaders with the basic outdoor skills information needed to start a program right. The skills taught are based on the outdoor skills found in The Boy Scout Handbook.
This course is required for all Scout Masters, ASM’s, Varsity Coaches, Asst Coaches, Venturing Advisors and Asst Advisor’s of outdoor crews to be considered “Trained” required for 2014 Charter.
Presentation and Hands-on Demonstration
This is an overnight outdoors course beginning Saturday morning and ending Sunday afternoon. Food will be provided for Saturday and Sunday.
Check-in will be Oct 5 at 7:30am
Instruction will begin promptly at 8:00am
We will end the program at 5:00pm Sunday.
The course will take place rain or shine.
